Niklas Maak, writer, architecture critic, and co-organizer of the EXPO Colony, will give a short lecture on the contemporary crisis of domestic architecture, offering a counterhistory of communes and collectivity in twentieth- and twenty-first-century architecture that serve as precursors to the EXPO Colony. He will be joined by Colony architects a77, arts collective Not an Alternative, and MoMA PS1 Associate Curator Jenny Schlenzka to discuss new ideas about housing, privacy, and public space.
