The Rockaway Conservancy is an all-volunteer umbrella community group that serves residents and groups who are interested in making Rockaway life all the more sustainable & resilient. They grow gardens, build compost tumblers & curing bins, teach workshops, advocate for a farmers’ market and work to make Rockaway a greener place.

This 90 minute workshop is the first in a series that will be hosted by Rockaway Conservancy throughout the growing season. They will provide a basic overview of gardening in Rockaway, and will spend the last hour workshopping participants’ specific garden plans and challenges. Bring questions and details about your garden or a vision for what you want it to be. This workshop will be facilitated by Rockaway Conservancy co-founder, Ofelia Mangen. Workshop materials will be provided and order forms for their Mother’s Day Plant Sale will be available.
