Rick Charnoski and Buddy Nichols have been making films together for 15 years. In that time they have produced hundreds of short films and a few feature length documentaries about the things they love, like skateboarding, travel, music and art. They started a company in LA about 8 years ago called Six Stair where they continue to produce commercial projects as well as a variety of short films both together and independently. They have travelled around the world shooting and showing their films at festivals, in parking lots, at universities and every other possible scenario. It’s all about getting people together to watch movies; that’s why they make them.

For the Rockaway screening at the MoMA PS1 VW Dome 2, they have a new batch of shorts on tap—a Richard Serra sculpture, an avocado ranch, New York stories, skate films and more—mixed in with some skate sessions.
