Warm Up admission is mandatory for entry into MoMA PS1 on Warm Up Saturdays

MoMA PS1 presents Warm Up 2016, beginning June 11 and taking place every Saturday this summer through August 27. A New York summer staple now in its 19th year, Warm Up, MoMA PS1’s highly anticipated outdoor music series, continues its tradition of introducing audiences to the best in experimental music, sound, and DJs—both local and international—across a range of genres. Warm Up supports both established and emerging artists by creating a platform that allows for experimentation and provides a space for collaboration, new material, and side projects.

The series is programmed by a curatorial committee selected by the museum to represent a wide spectrum of expertise and experience in music, sound, and the performing arts, resulting in a unique line-up of artists that explore, interpret, and combine genres. Warm Up is organized by Taja Cheek, Curatorial Assistant; Rosey Selig-Addiss, Associate Producer; and Lucy Lie, Production Coordinator. The Warm Up 2016 curatorial committee includes Dean Bein, True Panther Sounds; Jace Clayton, DJ /rupture; Jonathan Galkin, DFA Records; Eliza Ryan; Brandon Stosuy, Pitchfork; Imogene Strauss, Cool Managers; and Matt Werth, RVNG Intl.

Warm Up will feature rotating stage environments by young, emerging design talent —including Anous and Arnold, Mimi Bai, Bittertang, CONFETTISYSTEM, Nitemind, Sit and Read, and Justin Sloane.

Special thanks to Ace Hotel New York.
