How To Take Up Space

Join legendary graffiti artist and painter Lady Pink for a hands-on mural workshop inspired by Foundations, her newly commissioned mural for the MoMA PS1 Plaza. Born in Ecuador and raised in Astoria, Queens, Lady Pink started writing graffiti as a teenager in 1979. She has transformed subway cars, city walls, and galleries with her bold work. In this workshop, she invites teens and families to explore the power of taking up space through graffiti and mural-making techniques, using chalk spray paint to collaboratively create directly onto PS1’s courtyard walls.
