Rutas: How Did I Get Here?

Join Studio Lenca for a hands-on, drop-in workshop to make postcards inspired by his ongoing collaborative painting series, Rutas. Drawing from the artist’s experience growing up undocumented in the US, Rutas explores mapping as a personal and liberatory act. Documenting what otherwise goes unrecorded, the artist welcomes visitors to create a postcard reflecting on their own journeys of belonging and displacement in response to the prompt “How did I get here?” This workshop welcomes artists and makers of all ages.
