Create your own short comic with artist Julien Ceccaldi. Join us for a workshop held on the occasion of his solo exhibition at MoMA PS1.
Ceccaldi will discuss different methods of short-form storyboarding and visual storytelling. Learn to express action, emotion, and the passage of time using standard sequencing. The group will study 4-panel gag comic strips from Japan (Nekojiru, Azumanga Daioh) and the US (Nancy, Little Nemo in Slumberland). Each participant will draw and write an eight-page mini-comic made from a single sheet of paper. All materials are provided—just bring your story ideas!
