MoMA PS1's Annual Gala returns to the Courtyard to honor Robert Soros, a member of the MoMA PS1 Board of Trustees, and a constellation of artists: James Turrell, whose iconic artwork Meeting is housed in the Museum; Daniel Lind-Ramos, the subject of a major exhibition currently on view; and Anicka Yi. The event will be co-chaired by Sarah Arison and Thomas Wilhelm, Paul Arnhold and Wes Gordon, John Auerbach and Ed Tang, Claude Grunitzky, and Michi Jigarjian.
The Gala will recognize Lind-Ramos’s exhibition with a menu by chef Mina Stone celebrating shared Greek and Caribbean culinary traditions. The event will also feature an entry installation by artists Poncili Creación—who performed at MoMA PS1 in 2022—and table decor by artist Kern Samuel.
The dinner will conclude with a special performance by the Queens-based musician duendita, who performed as part of Warm Up in 2019, followed by an After Party featuring DJ sets by Christian Mártir, Cosmo, and Venus X, as well as a live performance by Standing on the Corner, whose exhibition Seven Prepared Pianos for the Seven African Powers opens on June 1. Tickets for the After Party are $150.
Proceeds from the Annual Gala benefit the MoMA PS1 Annual Exhibition Fund, which supports our wide range of artist-centric and community-driven programming.
