Join us for our 50th Anniversary Gala, honoring two individuals who have shaped our institution’s history: Alanna Heiss, Founder, and Glenn D. Lowry, the former David Rockefeller Director, The Museum of Modern Art.
Gathering artists who have defined PS1’s program, collectors, philanthropists, and notable guests, the evening will celebrate Heiss and Lowry’s remarkable contributions to contemporary art and culture, and PS1’s five decades of artistic experimentation and creativity.
The 50th Anniversary Gala is co-chaired by Derrick Adams, Laurie Anderson, Yto Barrada, Cecily Brown, Dan Colen, Rachel Harrison, Mary Heilmann, William Kentridge, Ayoung Kim, Ralph Lemon, Klara Lidén, Glenn Ligon, Julie Mehretu, Bruce Nauman, Precious Okoyomon, Howardena Pindell, Martin Puryear, Alan Saret, Sarah Sze, Wolfgang Tillmans, James Turrell, Kenny Scharf, Walid Raad, and Hank Willis Thomas.
Proceeds from the 50th Anniversary Gala support MoMA PS1’s mission—inspired by daring artists, MoMA PS1 is committed to the exploration of contemporary art and culture, broadening perspectives on the issues of our day, and engaging New Yorkers and communities across the world.
