Nuevayorkinos

Nuevayorkino's marked the last day of their activation in Homeroom with Nuevayorkinos: A Celebration of Life and Labor, a powerful day honoring the brilliance, artistry, and persistence of New York's many immigrant communities. Take a look back at some of our highlights from the day. Artists, activists, and community members came together to celebrate the collective action that secured a historic $2.1 billion in funding for excluded workers, many of whom are undocumented. The event was held in conjunction with Nuevayorkinos: Essential and Excluded in Homeroom, a collaboration between Nuevayorkinos and representatives from Make the Road NY, Fund Excluded Workers Coalition, NY Communities for Change, and the Street Vendor Project.
