Gregg Bordowitz on the Making of His New Sculpture

For his exhibition at MoMA PS1, Gregg Bordowitz made a new work to memorialize the lives lost in 2020, inspired by Vienna’s memorial column (Pestsäule, or Plague Column) erected to commemorate those lost to the Great Plague that afflicted Vienna in 1679.
