School Nite is MoMA PS1’s new, after-hours music series amplifying the next generation of sound. Rising digital, internet-based, and underground acts take over our former schoolhouse with live performances. Across genres and disciplines, the series spotlights rising talent and the scenes shaping culture in real time, with after-hours gallery access to MoMA PS1’s exhibitions and a cash bar.
For the second-ever School Nite, expect live performances from lo-fi electronic R&B legend Nourished by Time and electronic multi-hyphenate Tromac, both hailing from Baltimore.
Marcus Brown, the artist behind Nourished by Time, has built a dreamlike, slightly uncanny sonic world: retrofuturistic soul and ’80s freestyle seen through a buoyant, time-warped haze, grounded in his sweeping existential lyricism about love, labor, and hope. The artist is shaped by Baltimore’s rich, eclectic sonic heritage, where jazz, punk, New Wave, hip hop, electro-funk, and R&B collide.
Baltimore-based musical multi-hyphenate Tromac makes genre-fluid sets out of house, techno, jungle, and the breakbeat bounce of Baltimore club, drawing on sounds across the Black electronic diaspora for dance floors packed wall to wall. He’s played everywhere from renowned garages in Amsterdam (Skatecafe), to foundational venues in Chicago (smart bar), and DIY studios in Montreal (Breakglass), and has collaborated with Warm Up 2026 alum Cortisa Star, Black Rave Culture, and Zack Fox.
