Kids are taking over the museum at MoMA PS1’s Family Festival!
Make art, explore interactive environments, enjoy family-friendly dining, and hit the dancefloor. The festival opens a space for imagination, inviting children to create new worlds, encounter artist-created installations, build fantastic structures, and transform recycled materials. Tickets will be available in early June, and are free with timed entry. Capacity is limited, so sign up for our newsletter to be notified.
A large portion of the festival will be held outside. Attendees will be notified with more information in case of inclement weather.

Queensboro Dance Festival’s Latin Beats Plaza Party
Join a family-friendly dance lesson led by Queens-based artists, or let loose on an open dance floor to a live band! The Queensboro Dance Festival invites audiences to join the Latin Beats Plaza Party.

A Parently Kidding is a daytime dance party from New York-based director, designer, and DJ Va$htie. As a DJ, she has spun for Madonna, Prince, and Drake, as well as major nightclubs worldwide. Get the whole family on the dancefloor and enjoy Va$htie’s infectious beats!

What time is the festival?
The festival will run from 10 a.m. through 4 p.m., with three timed entry slots (RSVP required): 10 a.m.–12 p.m. 12–2 p.m. 2–4 p.m.
Is the festival suitable for all ages?
All ages are welcome at the festival! Most activities are best suited to artists age 2-12, in the company of an adult.
Where is MoMA PS1 located, and where do I enter the museum for the Family Festival?
Enter through our main entrance at 22-25 Jackson Avenue, Queens, NY 11101.
Are there any entry protocols I should be aware of?
RSVP to reserve your free timed ticket. Bags will be checked.
Can I store my belongings?
Lockers are available on the first floor for visitors to use free of charge. Lockers are 72 × 15 × 18". Please do not store valuables in the lockers or leave items overnight. MoMA PS1 is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property. Wheelchair accessible lockers are available.
Are strollers allowed?
Yes, limited capacity, self-service stroller storage is available. PS1 is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
Are scooters allowed?
Yes, scooters can be stored with strollers in designated areas.
Can I touch the art?
Select areas of the festival will be interactive. Outside of these areas, please admire artwork from a distance, at least an arm’s length away and with respect for any stanchions in place. Touching art, platforms, or vitrines is not permitted (unless a sign or label indicates otherwise).
Is photography permitted?
Still photography and video are permitted for personal, non-commercial use only unless otherwise noted. Flash, tripods, and camera extension poles are not allowed. We encourage everyone to be mindful of other visitors’ privacy, especially that of children, when taking photographs.
Do you have facilities where I may nurse my child or pump?
Nursing is permitted onsite, and a lactation room is available in the basement on a first-come, first-served basis. Please request access to the lactation room from a Visitor Engagement staff member.
Where can I change my baby?
There is a changing table on the first-floor bathroom.
Is there internet access for visitors?
Free Wi-Fi is available on site.
Can I charge my phone?
A charging station is available in the lobby on a first-come, first-served basis.
Is MoMA PS1 wheelchair accessible?
Wheelchairs are available free of charge at our main entrance on a first-come, first-served basis. There is a ramp to the museum entrance, and an elevator in the building. Please note that the festival’s outdoor activities take place on gravel, which may make wheelchair access difficult. Learn more about accessibility at MoMA PS1.
Where can I ask about accessibility support?
Please email mail_ps1@moma.org to request accessibility accommodations for the festival including translators, ASL interpreters, and sensory resources.
Will there be a quiet space at the festival?
Yes, a quiet space will be available on the museum’s second floor.
Will all exhibitions be on view?
Yes, our full slate of exhibitions will be on view throughout the day. Please note, some content may not be suitable for all audiences. Please consult with our Visitor Engagement staff on site for more information.
Will there be food available on site?
Yes, guests can enjoy offerings from Street Vendor Project, as well as family-friendly dining in our café.
Do children of all ages need to RSVP?
Please reserve a ticket for every member of your family. Tickets are free!
