Visit moma.org to explore the history of our programming, from PS1’s roots convening site-specific performance to its growth into a world-renowned place for artistic experimentation.
Exhibitions bring into focus artists' responses to their time, offering narratives and perspectives. Through commissions, artists produce new works that engage with place, context, and communities.
On site and online, artist talks, workshops, screenings, and other public programs catalyze communities and offer space to meet, learn, and create together.
Artists create genre-expanding performances for a live audience across the entire campus.
Artist Interventions & Residencies
Installations across our campus reveal how artists have intervened in the building since our founding. Residencies offer time, space, and resources to sustain artists’ practices both on- and off-site.
